I can't believe that a mother of newborn twins died needlessly after childbirth complications because she was a Jehovah's Witness and wouldn't accept a life-saving blood transfusion. Imagine willingly leaving behind your babies which you have held in your arms, your husband, your family and your life - all because of a couple of vague lines about ( Read more... ) -

I really really like Bloc Party's new album. I wasn't particularly impressed during my first few listens, but I suddenly fell head over heels in love with it. I can't get it out of my head. Parts of it are quite bleak, which seems to make it a sympathetic soundtrack to some of my recent thoughts. Ha, I'm such a wallower. I guess that's why I'm a ( Read more... ) -

I'm sitting here with half a biro in each ear. I took my plugs out this morning, and in the sudden scramble to grab a lift to the station with my housemate, forgot to put them back in. I didn't want the holes to start shrinking, so when I got in to work, I snapped a couple of biros and stuck them in. It looks rather silly, not to mention skanky, ( Read more... )
