Oh my goodness! This just HURTS. You wrote Sam's pain so perfectly I could just feel every bit of it...I wanted to cry and to deck John all at once, but mostly I just wanted to scoop up Sam in a giant hug. Well done, I'm very excitedly going to read the next chapter right now.
