by the end of the day, i ended up kinda liking valentine's day...but i still hate it, how consumers are obligated to buy bears, or flowers, or whatever for their significant others, just because of advertising and blah blah blah...oh no, i still don't like this holiday, but i gave it last night

I dunno, I think kids nowadays think too harshly of good ol' Valentines day. Life in America is busy enough as it is, I think of it as a friendly reminder that you should spend some time with your significant other. Sure, it does evoke a sense of 'elitism' since not everyone is in this 'significant other' club, but at least let those that are have a good time eh?
