I did a bit of a friends cut yesterday. Seems like livejournal is really dying down these days (likely due to facebook & instagram). I hate cutting people that I really enjoy & have a long history with... buuuut it's clear that a few of you don't really use livejournal so much any more. I didn't cut anyone out of meanness or because I dislike them! I realize that sometimes people just outgrow livejournal, and their lack of commenting/updating is not personal. But I also don't like to keep people around because one-upon-a-time they were active on LJ, y'know?

Well I'm glad I made the cut!!! Slightly worried I wouldn't with my whole internet issue for like six months. Blah! Its funny expect for a few people i've tried to keep my lj and facebook separate. Only the "cool" people, hehe, were allowed to make the transition. And yeah I'm not even sure what instagram is (the computer tech avoids technology go figure right?!)

I totally second that thought -- a lot of my friends list has been dying out for one reason or another. I know people get busy ... or just dont feel like getting on here, either. But other social medias are definitely taking over, too. ::sigh::

Yup!! It's a bummer though! I am definitely not as personal on facebook/instagram as I am on here. I'd much rather people share my life via LIVEJOURNAL than Facebook!... Buuut, I can't force anyone to login to LJ to read & comment on my stuff... Soo, instead I'll just accept it for what it is. Some times people just outgrow and lose interest in livejournal, and that's okay.

Thanks for keeping me around! I know I haven't been the most active, but I try! I agree though, some people on my friends list are just GONE.

Exxxxxactly & I totally get it! Facebook and Instagram gives us access to people's lives in a much more instantanious way. Coming and reading LJ can feel a bit redundant... But I also hate keeping people on my Friends List who I know are only coming by once every 5/6 months.
