HELP! How the hell do I do this on Live Journal?!

Okay tech-related people, how do I do the following:
1) be able to put one of my ljfriend's names in my posts so you can link to it?
2) put a link to another website in my journal entry?
3) put a picture in a journal entry?!

hey!

you just need to take the * out - otherwise instead of seeing what i typed you'll just see the links! :)

1) to link to another LJ user you type the code:
<*lj user="sarahtoalaska"*>

2) to make a link to another page type the code:
<*a href="http://www.google.com">Google Rocks!

where you put the URL between the " marks and whatever you want to call the page between the ><

does that make ssense?!?!? let me know if not!!!

3) i cheat and use Photobucket!!

i upload the pictures to photobucket and they give me the code there :)

Pictures I can do. If they are in your scrap book, you can just hit a button. If not you type

< (then) img src = "insert web address here"/>

just omit the (then)
