Your post came up with an error message but I worked out that you'd had a 5.1 earthquake. I hope you don't have any damage :-O Are you getting after-shocks too?
You're right on the 'ring of fire' so it's to be expected but still....
We're in an earthquake zone here (where Spain and France are bumping into each other!) but our quakes are small and frequent. I'd be worried if we didn't have any quakes because that would mean it was building up to a big one!
It was just odd, a 5.1, especially one so deep wouldn't normally shake us up so much. In fact, even though it was relatively close I'd have just expected a little rockin' and rollin'. This was very shaky, lound and long!
Any you're right about it going quiet! That always makes me suspicious!
It wasn't too bad here, but it lasted over a minute. Also, Thomas was in the shower at the time which was pretty scary. He's smart though, he got himself out and under something secure. Two in one wkend is a bit much tho!
