I think it's because when they're giving out information, they're usually doing so in a very arrogant fashion. So when they end up being wrong, it's about ten times harder to take.
The stupidity of the people who work at these stores never ceases to amaze me. The stories don't really get old because they all happen to out-do each other. What got old was editing them all because when you e-mail something in, it's not the same as sending in a Word document. You know how sometimes cutting something from Wordpad and pasting it into Archway makes every other line of text a mess? Imagine doing that 29 times.

This kid who bought the controller probaby was looking for a better price, and he got it. His father probably didn't mind either. And the clerk certainly didn't mind because he could sell stuff to people who really didn't know any better. But this is the way things are, unfortuately. If you guys are speaking up when you see injustice done, that's a step in the right direction!
I'm going to get killed in poker tonight. I've never played a multi-table tournament before... then again, the last time I played, I won it all, so you never know.
