When the hell are you coming back to AIM? Really... It's not that I'm missing you, it's that I'd rather not leave a comment like this. Also, you went against Holmgren. I dunno what the theory is behind this, but... well, we'll see. There's a reason that I didn't make any playoff predictions anywhere.

I came back to AIM for 30 minutes, then retired again. I can't stand AIM.

Holmgren's a goner. He's lost his team. Ever since that game against the Rams in Week 5 (it was Week 5, right?), it's like a completely different team from the one that showed so much promise last year. His star free agent RB is going elsewhere after being "stabbed in the back". His QB will go somewhere else in search of a ring and wideouts that can catch. His top WR is having some sort of serious problems that prevent him from not being suspended. Oh, and Seattle's D sucks.

Then again, after "We want the ball, and we're going to score!", God owes the Seahawks one.

The Seahawks owe the Seahawks one. If they don't win at home, I don't know what I'll do. It's been a long time since the Seahawks have experienced playoff success. Sure, our defense is spotty, but at least in the last two games it's known how to finish.

And come back to AIM for 30 more minutes.

Not tonight. I've got work in 7 hours.

But I am picking the Seahawks to win outright. I think the Rams' D is that soft where Seattle can control the clock. AND if they can get out to a two-touchdown lead in the first 20 minutes of the game, Martz will not call a running play for the rest of the game, and then the Seahawks are in the driver's seat. Holt and Bruce are good, but you can only go deep so many times in one game.

Green Bay still sucks, though. They've beaten up on a shit NFC and they lost one of those two out of 11 to Philadelphia by 40 points. However, Favre does give them the chance to beat anybody on any day, especially a team as miserable as Minnesota, who has made an art of late-season collapses.

I almost think that Vikings fans have it worse than the Jets in terms of how agonizing it is to be a fan of a given team. Last year's was particularly brutal - losing to Arizona on the last play of the last game of the season to knock you out! That's gotta hurt. Though I still say the Fake Spike was worse.

And yeah, Carolina did lose in Week 17 - funny how they were building Carolina-NO as a "winner gets in" game and neither of them ended up making the playoffs. Go figure. Then again, it's not like anybody needed ANOTHER 8-8 playoff team in the NFC.
