New column up tomorrow. I really like this one. It's an in-depth breakdown of the PSP's launch package and the games that are being released at launch time. It was a lot of fun to write, kinda like the old news reports where you take a bit of news and just analyze it from every angle. I've got to go to class, I'll comment on the entire article later, but a quick correction.

They are bundling a UMD Copy of Spider-Man 2 the FILM, not the game. This is Sony's attempt to make the system multifunctional.

First, because I'm in a clarification mood and MSN is down and I am in a shitty mood RE: School, The PSP Battery Life is much closer to 4-6 hours, on the low end of things, in terms of gaming. The 2 hours is more or less speaking from the movie standpoint (And yes, the first shipment of PSPs ships with a UMD Copy of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2 ( ... )

I think it's interesting to see what was, basically, a gaming-focused preview of the PSP. While I know that it is a gaming site, I think it is important to note that Sony, very obviously, is not marketing this as your average gaming handheld. The bells and whistles you speak of have the gaming functions that you mention (Other than Spider-Man 2, as I stated above), but their existence in fact is not for those functions ( ... )
