Finally: the Nightwish review to the concert last Saturday. It was the best one for me so far.
To make it short: everything was fabulous (:P) and this time I even liked the support bands.
But let's start at the beginning...
As a friend, who wanted to go with me, couldn't do so in the end, my mum went with me to the concert.
She was totally enthralled, so don't think I'd force anyone. ;)
We arrived a little after 19:00 at the Messehalle in Erfurt. The doors were already open, therefore we didn't have to wait long to get in. :)
After a short, successless search for the merchandise stall, we made our way through the crowd.
In the end, we got a good place in the first row behind the barrier to the left of the stage. As the barrier was a little bent, I saw quite good what was going on.
The hall was so very full of people. It felt a bit extreme. Even before Nightwish started, the security guys had to fish 5 girls out of the audience, because they seemed to suffer from dehydration.
Exactly 8:00 Indica entered the stage. They came up to my expectations completely. I still found it a bit odd that Jonsu performed the songs in English, especially with the Finnish accent, even so her voice was great.
I loved the songs they played and in my opinion this is a live band to remember.
Setlist, just in English:
Wuthering Heights (Kate Bush cover) -> This was absolutely amazing btw
Ikuinen Virta
Vuorien Taa
Elä
Pahinta Tänään
A couple of minutes later, we got Pain. They surprised me to be honest. I didn't really like them that much, when I first listened to them, but they were pretty good.
They rocked and it's really a pity that they prefered to get into a fight the last time I was meant to see them. lol
Setlist:
I'm Going In
End Of The Line
Zombie Slam
Just Hate Me
Same Old Song -> My fav from them :)
Monkey Business
Shut Your Mouth
Around 21:30 Nightwish entered the stage and the crowd went wild. Although my expectations were very high, they even surpassed them. <3
Anette has improved a lot in singing since the last time, I saw her, Marco was even better than before and the setlist was just so very fantastic. Moreover, the pyro effects were so much better than in the concerts, I've seen before. I'm more than sure that everybody in the audience had a lot of fun that night.
This probably sounds so totally subjective, but I have no idea, what bad to say. There isn't anything, I would have changed.
And now to the brilliant setlist:
7 Days To The Wolves
Dead To The World
The Siren
Amaranth
Romanticide
Dead Boy's Poem
The Poet And The Pendulum
Nemo
Sahara
The Islander
Escapist
Dark Chest Of Wonders
Encore:
Ghost Love Score
Wish I Had An Angel
I'll probably upload photos to my graphics com later on. =)
