now that you've recognized that tendency/inclination in yourself, it will be easier to control it or supress it (if that's what you want to do).
i believe your desire to not take the typical alpha male role shows a need to be different from what you think you're "supposed" to be. i know that i, over the years, have taken on some more "female" qualities both subconciously as a reaction to CBHS/other shitty male influences, and conciously in order to be more understanding and empathetic (two things which are generall stronger in women).
as for "there is no truth", i believe in that pretty strongly. it kind of sucks to think that you can't hold some overwhelmingly awesome truth over everyone else's head and be like "look at me! i ruuule!", but that's a good thing, you know? to an extent, it validates everyone, and places the responsibility of their existence soley on themselves.
it goes with my favorite quote: "it's what you take that makes it right"
also: i will completely kick your ass in Smash Bros. when i get back.
Well, this thing seems to be more of an ingrained thing - something that's actually part of me. Basically, I want to do whatever comes naturally, especially if I think it's part of me and not due to social influence.
That said, I've NEVER had the inclination to be the Alpha Male - or anyway never any direct, tangible inclination. So this suggests to me that it might simply be a gender thing - inescapable.
but seriously. i know sort of what you mean. remember the first time we played risk? and i could've taken andy out pretty easily, and then he got really irate and pissy with me? he didn't want to loose by my hand. i don't want to tell you it's a guy thing, but i think maybe it is.
sorry this is the first place you have to hear this mo, but when i was loosing to you, i didn't really care that much, i just wanted to get it over with cause i was so tired! but so yeah.
seriously you guys. risk. next thursday. but ONLY IF YOU HELP ME TAKE PICTURES!!!
