Lois would never wear her heart on her sleeve for all to see, but when she's alone, she'll gladly place it on the table right next to her. As she's looking through Jason's baby pictures and toddler years. She looked through them just a few nights ago, but still laughs and holds back her tears at the same photos.
There's Jason playing with his Tonka trucks and Dinky Toys. Ha. Here's him in the bathtub, naked, with no water. Aww, there's him at 6 months. -This one's a little worn out and a bit torn, but I guess it's just a reminder of the years passed.
She misses those years, she really does.
And she's beginning to miss today's Jason. He'll be back in an hour. He better treat that young lady with respect. No, he will.
Back to the photos.
Lois doesn't want to put the book full of memories down. She doesn't want to close it. She doesn't feel she's ready to leave memory lane just yet. The slight emotional hurt in her chest and light tear sliding passed her cheek disagrees.
She misses those years, she really does.
But that was back then, and it was adorable, but it's time to look ahead. Because mommy's little boy is growing up. His years are what's to come, and it feels wonderful to enjoy the future.
You're going to grow up to be big and strong, just like daddy.
