Nice to see you so busy. Speaking of LASIK, my dad suggested I should go for it this summer but because I'm too attached to my bespectacled reflection (I find myself wondering who my reflection is when I'm in my contacts!), I'll prolly go for it another time...if at all. Still thinking on it.
Well, don't wanna keep you here. I was just going to comment on your name. Personally, I'd go for Therese. To my mind it completes the metamorphosis from Trissa to Teray to Therese. Also, I tend to think it's more accessible there in the US--one has to admit Therese sounds more familiar to American ears than does Trissa. But that latter's a minor detail--I'd go for whatever sets you free from the shackles of yesterday because you are now more than ever, starting a new life, one that is entirely your own. Now if Trissa gives you more of that feeling, then go for that.
I'm just curious: why do you like your bespectacled self? For me, glasses were a hassle. LASIK definitely needs some recovery time, though: at least a whole week.
I am still vacillating, but like Trissa: how unique-ish it is. I personally have a hard time saying Therese sometimes, and it always felt stiff to me. I chose Therese in school...because it made me feel different from the child at home. Teray was a high school pet name among you and Kat and Cim, and Joan, basically close friends, but that was it. And Ms. Maralit came up with that, funny lady she is :) Trissa for me is more ergonomic, pronunciation-wise, if that makes sense. I am still having a hard time connecting to myself as "Trissa" again, "Therese" comes automatically, as I used that for school, etc all these years, but I do like Trissa. If you talk about full circle, for me, Trissa is it. In the US, Trissa would be my new lease, if that makes sense.

Re the glasses: I'm used to it. I've had glasses for so long they've become a part of who I am.
