Primal Cottage Pie

Based off a MarksDailyApple.com recipe, I've been making these "pies" about once a week. I get four lunches out of each pie. Here's a technicality on the title "Shepherd's Pie" as used in the original recipe: If it's made from lamb, it's a Shepherd's Pie. If it's made from beef, it's a Cottage Pie ( Read more... )

I just edited my entry to also note that the first time I made this, 3/4 cup of broth was a little too much in my opinion. I'd go with 1/2 cup.

Oh--and what do you think of using the coconut oil instead of olive oil? Good? Bad?

Both work well. I can't say that I've tasted any difference between the two. I just pick the oil based on my whims at the moment.
