Great link, Matt. It's nice to finally get some real insight into the person and her history instead of the continued histrionics about sexism in the media and her daughter's pregnancy we've been force fed for the last week.

Am I the only one who felt like he was watching a born-again Christian revival every time they panned out to the audience at the RNC Convention? Dear god those people scare me. In the words of John Rogers, I miss Republicans (it's funny/depressing to note that this was written back before McCain drank the Neo-Con Kool-aid).

I think I only managed to put myself through 5 minutes of the Republican national convention before I couldn't take it anymore. Bush was speaking and he said "John McCain will never surrender to angry liberals," and I was pretty much done (plus I had a phone call). So no, I didn't feel like I was watching a Christian revival. I spared myself that. But yes, that word choice on my part was intentional ( ... )

But I just realized what Palin's burning bridges leadership style reminded me of and realized why I was so afraid of her.

She reminds me of how I think Faith would act in that situation.
