Monday October 17, 2005Today was a good day. I’m not quite sure why. I was semi-late for school, not actually late, but I had to rush to get there, and I hate doing that. the birth of the russian empire under ivan the terrible (the first tsar!)

catherine the great (she was the first in russia to be vaccinated for smallpox, which helped encourage peasants and other europeans to follow suit, she corresponded with voltaire and even wrote a book about the education of young children inspired by locke.)
