So last week was pretty good. I went to two operas, both of which were better than the one we saw in St. Petersburg and I actually liked the last one because I could understand what was going on. hey don't worry about being homesick...it doesn't get worse. pretty soon you'll start to see the end of your trip coming and realize that you'll never be studying abroad in russia again. then you won't want to go home! plus, when you get home it's like time stopped for you and you can mostly pick up from where you left off. it might be a little different for you b/c you're coming back for spring rather than fall semester, but yeah i don't know really. that's what happened with me. i'll get back to you when i learn how to give words of wisdom. until then, g'luck! your friends miss you too!

Oh Polina, I'm so jealous! I want some snow! It's just cold and rainy here, ala Madison. So you get home around the first week of December? I can't wait to see you!
