It would worry me less if so many people didn't seem to actually desire this "change." It's like the dumb people were asleep during history class, and the smart people think they can do a better job of communism than other people did.

Oklahoma recently tried to honor The Flaming Lips with our "state rock song." The state basically invented that award as an excuse to honor the band. There's a street in Oklahoma City also named after them. Anyway, one of the band members shows up to the state capital wearing a red t-shirt with a sickle and hammer on it. The republicans in the House decide to vote against giving them the honor largely b/c it's hard to honor someone who honors the USSR. and liberals in Oklahoma were outraged.

I love my country more than most. I feel like we're on a very dangerous path.
