Because there's something said for experiencing something the first time. Without the element of surprise, many people feel that a piece of their enjoyment is no longer there.

I understand that they do feel that way, I just don't understand why. It's one of those things that my brain simply can't wrap itself around -- like illiteracy and only liking one gender or the other -- because I just can't imagine what it feels like.
