I also hope more will follow, because this was lovely. Really haunting, really heart-breaking. An excellent twist at the end, too. Poor, poor Djaq. I love fics that cover her past, and this was a particularly lovely and rather different take on things.

Oh wow, that ending has a sucker punch. Love it - hope it's the first of many, because you've got a great style and even better hold on the characters. Much's "What happens in the Holy Land stays in the Holy Land" is brilliant.

A truly chilling and beautiful fic. You get under Djaq's skin wonderfully and present a different family background than fics normally give her. Loved it, a great piece :- )

I LOVED this! I can't get enough well-done Djaq POV, and you write her especially beautifully. I also loved that you included Little John, because (while I am admittedly LJ-obsessed!) he never seems to get mentioned enough in fics.
