Here's a good piece of advice, ladies: don't get your legs waxed when you're not in tip top emotional shape. It's a cruel and unusual way to start off a day that you didn't expect to be that fantastic and is downpouring, both figuratively and literally, all over you.

This morning I was watching a B Rated film starring Claire Danes and Joaquin Phoenix as I drank a cup of green tea when the cleaning ladies arrived. Oh, I know I'm dorky, but when I went to go see what the weather would be like I was ridiculously pleased to see that James Loney and Harmeet Singh Sooden had been freed. They are on their way home. I cannot imagine what joy the families are feeling now that their prayers have been answered.

My mind is blown by something I've just heard.

Usually nothing really phases me when I hear about what others are up to on the homefront, but now I'm just laughing my fool head off. The circle is finally complete and everyone has slept with one another.

I suppose I shouldn't be as surprised as I am, but this is too funny.

I am simultaneously working on an essay for a course on woman writers as well as searching for songs for a mixed cd. I used to think I was no good at mix cds for friends, I always looked for obscure music just so I felt I was giving them something new.
