Still recovering from the flu. Called in sick to work, they requested a doctors note. I'm not in the business of defending jack-ass doctors. BUT, the question about the nasal-discharge colour question is actually really relevant. As I found out after a bad scuba dive in the St Laurence. I got some of the river in my sinuses, and they in turn got infected. At first it felt like a runny nose from a cold, except when I poked myself in the face, it really hurt (cue repeated poking in the face because it was soo weird).

Anyways, went to the Doctor and got put on anti-biotics because my body was simply not beating the infection itself, and there was risk of the infection moving elsewheres (notably my brian).

How does snot colour relate to this, my "nasal discharge" wasn't yellow or green or whatever, it was clear. And it never solidified the way it does when you have a cold or flu.

If I'd just taken a cold med to stop the flow, I'd still have had the infection with the chance of the infection spreading.

Hope you get over this soon.
