[whispering conspiratorially]
Hey Mac, Doc! I just got an idea!

It's nothing really important exactly, but I think it might really raise morale around here, with Christmas coming up and all. Plus it's something I've always wanted to do but never got around to, y' ( Read more... )

I'm up for spreadin' some Christmas cheer. What's the idea, Bill?

Oh, and mind workin' on the DVD player some? I'm kinda hittin' a snag with it, and I'm headin' to Madison Square soon so I can get the rink ready for some hockey.

Yeah sure! Hockey huh? I haven't played hockey since I was a kid, sounds exciting.

As for Christmas... well you know how there's always that one house on the street that's always completely overdone? I was thinking we could try something like that, but even bigger! It's not exactly utilitarian, but I think it could be fun, and since it seems like we're not going anywhere any time soon, we could all probably use some of that.

Ha ha! Now that's a fun idea! Light up the entire wall, even. I'm game. What about Doc, though? He gonna help out with this?

Oh, and I happened to meet a few other folks who might enjoy bein' part o' Team Science. Mind adjustin' this message so they can get in with no fuss too?

Don't know yet, don't think he's seen this post yet. But who doesn't like a big light show right? Heh.

The more the merrier, especially for a Merry Christmas! Who are they?

Marvelous! I'm Jeff Andonuts. How do you do?

Anything you need, I'd be happy to lend a hand.

Nice to meet you, I'm Bill Nye! Well what I'm thinking about working on is sort of a Christmas surprise for everybody here. I want to pick somewhere in the city and rig up some big decorations, something really big an impressive to give everybody a lift in morale, y'know? If you're interested in something like that, I'd be more than glad to have the help.

Absolutely.

People are devoid of hope. It's not dark enough yet, and we must show them that is the truth! I'm sure one of the shopping strips around here must have leftover decorative supplies.

I'm sure with our brilliant minds working together, we can pull it off flawlessly.

That's great, I like you're confidence! All the stores on Fifth Avenue go all sorts of nuts with the decorations every year. I'm sure they've got several years worth of cool stuff in storage.

I was thinking of setting up in Rockefeller Center, since it's sort of traditional. Unless that's too close to Central Park for comfort.

I'd love to help out with any scientific endeavors that you may have planned! Like I told MacGyver, I'd love to put my scientific skills to the test again....

And I'm Ema Skye, by the way. Really, it's nice to finally meet other people who are interested in the wonders of science.

Right now, I'm planning on putting together a big light show to cheer everybody up for the holidays. It isn't super scientific, but I'm sure I'll be finding something a little more of that nature to work on soon. [grumbled] I'd have plenty to work on if Dog hadn't gotten away...

Wonders is right! Finding out how things work they way they do and why they work the way they do, and then you can use it to help you out! It's the greatest thing humans ever came up with, if you ask me.

Well, if you need help with that, you know, it's not like I'm really doing anything right now....

How scientific... and therefore, how true! It ranks right up there with Luminol, in my opinion~.

Great, thanks! I'm always glad for an extra pair of helping hands.

Oh, Luminol! That's the stuff that glows when it reacts with an oxidizing agent - like the iron in hemoglobin! Yeah, that's pretty good stuff. Right up there with that genetically engineered glowing tobacco plant. But waaaaaay more useful!
