I'd prefer to use science to get off this island, and then perhaps look into the creature in a different light.

For me, this island is home, so I don't have much of a choice really.

Don't know how it does all this dimensional distortion business. Now that's wild.

Interesting. So this all begun to happen after the creature arrived? No oddities of distortions beforehand?

Right. Well, some people liked to say they saw different dimensions or traveled in time or that kind of thing, but there was never any real proof. Not like there is now, with a bunch of weirdos running around the place!

.... No offense meant, by the way.

... An alien from outer space?! Hmm hmm, maybe it's waiting for the right moment to eat us! This is... this is truly interesting.

Or perhaps from another dimension. I don't think we have to worry about that, I haven't seen it eat anybody. I have seen it step on people though, that's pretty bad.

It sure is interesting!

You're weird. For a human.
Buttt I admit! Another dimension? I can see it, maybe it's taking refuge here, but if it's not hungry why does it want us?

Y'know, I get told that alot. Usually minus the "for a human" part.

The alternative theory seems to be that it got sucked into this place just like all of you guys did. It just happened to be alot meaner than most of you. It's an interesting idea, because I've wondered that myself.

...That's disgusting. Furthermore, who the hell in their right mind would try and get near that thing? I'd probably even die going up against it.

Those of us with an overpowering sense of curiosity - often mistaken for insanity, you know?

Sounds more like mental retardation.

No, they're very different things. Mental retardation can be caused by a number of things, from birth defects to genetic disorders, and is usually characterized by poor cognition.

My cognition is just fine!

What are you, a walking science textbook?

I like to think I'm more of a walking science TV show.
