I made the same one I seem to make every year. And this year, I think I'm finally ready to let it go and try for something new.

Yours, man :P I'm looking at getting into PR / corporate affairs. Unfortunately I've only got a little bit of work experience in corporate communications. At the moment I'm still doing bar/restaurant work and a bit of volunteering as a writer/researcher.

How are you these days anyway? I don't check LJ that often anymore. Hope everything's good on your end :)

haha righto. Well I dunno if you want to be in gov or not (definitly pros and cons), but a good place to start is jobs.vic.gov.au. Always seems to be comms jobs around somewhere in gov. Also, I get emails about gov comms jobs that are coming up from time to time - happy to forward these onto you if you'd like?

I had bugger all experience when I started - a months work experience in a PR consultancy. But I guess that was what they wanted.

Going along same old same old on my end. Work, hang out, sleep = my life haha.

Thanks Nath. I do check up on that gov jobs site every so often. I'm not doing too badly, I've had a few comms interviews so far (strangely enough, both kinda gov related.. Melbourne Water and VicRoads), but I don't interview well. I get really nervous and go completely blank whenever they fire a question at me that I'm not expecting. Hopefully I'll get better - I have an interview as a media researcher on Monday, so fingers crossed!
