While yes, that would be more organized, it would also be far too difficult to keep track of. If the game were ten times smaller, it would be something easy to manage, but with the near-100 players we received in the first week alone, there's little to no way we could organize and plot people catching their pokemon. Plus, it would be unrealistic that people could only catch pokemon during certain time periods of the mod-run events, and it would probably dampen a lot of players' moods if they had to come to us about catching every single pokemon. We think the freedom to roam and explore is better for everyone that way.
Currently, everyone is a trainer/collector since that's why everyone was given a Pokedex. Crafters unfortunately will not be allowed since they would run poor Kurt out of business!
Breeders may pool their money and resources together to rent a place on the outskirts of whatever town they choose for breeding Pokemon, though they will not be keeping any for long. Between the many of them is how many Pokemon they will all be able to have. If there are three breeders, they can have up to 36 Pokemon available. If trainers ask for a breeder to work their magic on their Pokemon, breeders can borrow them until there is an egg. Breeders should remember to tell trainers to stick around, though not particularly in THAT room, until the egg is formed. You can't quite keep their Pokemon after all.
Pokemon are not edible/able to be killed in game, unfortunately. They will only faint if attacked. If anyone tried to eat them in that state, they would seem about as edible as a rock.

Whoops, I'll add it later on. It's only available in the national park originally so that is probably where it will be given out as a prize.
