so, i'm reading this book called "the geography of bliss". i picked it up in the travel literature section of indigo; a section a frequently find myself pulled toward by an invisible force every time i enter the store. i very much enjoy reading about different places around the world, especially places that i have been to. there's a chapter on ( Read more... )

to be happy, in my opinion, means to be content and satisfied with everything you have in life. and if that's the case, i don't think i'll ever truly be "happy"... i'll be chasing bigger and better things, probably for the rest of my existence.

I watched a show about something similar, and apparently Denmark has the happiest people in the world. And it was something to do with their views on money, because 50 percent of their earnings is taxed, but they get free education, free healthcare (much better then canadas), etc etc. It's interesting, places that put more emphasis on non-material things tend to be much more happy.
