The one thing Axel found easy about being a nobody was summoning darkness portals. Overall, it was probably the most useful ability the Nobodies all shared.
Unfortunately, Demyx couldn’t do it.
At first, Axel thought that the blond was new, and he’d eventually get the hang of it. But after numbers eleven and twelve joined, and they were able to summon portals, Axel decided to take matters into his own hands.
He summoned a portal, appearing in front of the blond, and almost scaring the kid. “Any reason why you can’t portal?”
Demyx gave an innocent grin. “Portal? I can so portal! Just watch me!”
Axel sighed. “Alright then, nine. Go through that door, if you can actually portal.”
Demyx stared hard at the blank space beside him, willing a portal to appear. After a few moments, he simply headed for the door. Axel rolled his eyes, and Demyx shrugged. “You never said how I had to go through the door!”
“Can you portal?” Axel inquired, raising his eyebrow. When he was met with a blank stare, he sighed. “Alright, kid, it’s like this…”

A few weeks later, Axel seriously wished he’d never taught the kid anything. Demyx took portal-ing too frivolously, using a darkness portal to move only feet, or so. “Demyx…”
The blond stopped, and retracted his hand from grabbing a box of cereal. “Yes?” He replied, tilting his head. Axel thought of possible lies, before speaking.
“If you portal too much, Xemnas will turn you into a Dusk.”
Demyx’s eyes widened and Axel gave a smirk, before summoning a darkness portal and heading back to his room.
