Axel has been watching Roxas for sometime now. But the former blond keyblader can’t even see him. Actually, he doubts that anyone can see him, regardless if Axel cares or not, seeing as he’s currently standing on the roof of one of the tallest buildings, over looking a sandlot.
Roxas was currently sparring with one of his many strange looking friends. The one he was fighting with had some sort of trench coat, and strangely (Axel mocked the boy for this one), his stomach was revealed. Perhaps it was some way to show off his abs or such, but Axel didn’t care. He was only here for Roxas.
Said blond shook his head, and charged at the boy he was fighting against, their intricate (or simply strange) weapons bouncing off the other. After a few more hits (it wasn’t as if Axel was cheering him on. Perhaps he was; but only secretly), Roxas easily defeated the stomach bearing boy, much to the kid’s dismay.
Axel can feel a smirk on his face. That was his Roxas, the Roxas he knew. The kid who did not take anything from anybody.
But what was odd was when Roxas grinned over to his other friends -a thin boy, a chubby boy, and a girl - and then all whooped and hollered, and grinned wildly at him. When he approached them, they were instantly high five-ing, and, in the girl’s case, hugging his Roxas, and overall congratulating him for his victory.
Feeling his eyes grow wide in disbelief, Axel turned, before creating a portal, and leaving DiZ’s computer version of Twilight Town, his mission be damned.
Roxas was never like that with him. If he was lucky, he might go through an entire day and not be threatened by the keyblade wielder. But the hugs, and the smiles…?
Axel shook his head as he continued to walk through the dark portal. Roxas didn’t smile; Roxas didn’t hug. At least, his didn’t.
He might have been apt to feel jealous about what he saw, but his lack of emotions sought to make sure he couldn’t.
