Even though it was only meetings, Saïx still demanded a regular attendance from every member of Organization XIII. But meetings were probably the only thing in The World That Never Was that could’ve have even been on the same spectrum as being turned into a Dusk -when Xemnas spoke, he never ended and he could literally go on for hours without stopping.
The older members knew this; they brought small things along with them to take their mind off of such rambling (for example, although Demyx was stuck listening to the first meeting, Xigbar had pulled him aside and in the next meeting, he had a small book to write music in).
However, both Roxas and Axel disliked meetings that badly that they couldn’t even be on the same floor level when they were going on.
So they had to do other things, such as explore each other’s bedrooms.
…They were currently playing a PS4, which a Dusk had stolen from an unsuspecting delivery man before taking their heart, not doing anything of that sort.
Obviously.
“You think Saïx would notice?” Roxas finally asked, probably their fourth time skipping a meeting. Axel glanced over to his blond friend as said blond smirked and twisted his controller around, killing Axel’s character on the screen. The redhead glared before restarting the game and bashing Roxas’s character into the ground.
“Knowing him,” he began, after obtaining a complete and total victory over Roxas. “He does. He’s just waiting for the right moment to murder us -he’ll never turn us into Dusks.” After a confused look from Roxas, Axel simply shrugged. “True, he may practically be Xemnas’s lapdog, but no one can listen to Xemnas for that long. If Xemnas turned us into Dusks, you know he’d have a three hour speech beforehand.”
Roxas gave a snort before turning off the system and flopping onto his bed. “True… but by then, we’d want to be Dusks just to not have to listen to him anymore.”
Smirking, Axel climbed onto the bed and straddled the blond. “True…but, just in case that were to happen…”
Before Axel could say a word, move an inch, or even twitch an eyebrow, Roxas had grabbed him by the collar of his cloak and dragged him down so their lips met. The only reason that they even pulled away was because Axel sharply remembered that he needed to breathe and had to shove himself away from the smirking blond, taking in deep breaths of air and reasoning with himself that if the guy can kiss that well, he shouldn’t maim him.
Axel threw Roxas an almost confused, but mostly intrigued look, and the blond grinned. “It was either this, or play video games for the rest of the meetings,” Roxas responded, just before Axel pounced.

Two hours later finds Demyx wandering the halls, glaring in contempt. He was not the only one in the meeting with something -did Saïx have to point him out just because he was writing music, as opposed to, say, Larxene playing her GS? Did he?
Apparently he did, along with sending the ninth member of the Organization to find the one skipping meetings.
Demyx scowled to himself; he’d already checked Axel’s room -long deserted. He had half a mind to search through the worlds, just because it would take so long that maybe Saïx wouldn’t be angry/homicidal to him, but he shook his head before raising a fist to knock on Roxas’s door, hoping to himself that no one would answer.
But when moans, groans, and other such noises came from the room (no pun intended), Demyx let his hand drop, mouth dropping as well. They couldn’t, they wouldn’t be… Weren’t they both straight? He almost thought that Roxas had something with Naminé, for Darkness’s sake!
No. That had to be a video game. So, it would be a-okay for him to open the door and tell them that Saïx was going to murder them.
And that’s what Demyx did. A millisecond later, he slammed the door again, his eyes wide and almost bugging out of his head. No-he really didn’t need to see that.
Shaking his head, he summoned a darkness portal and disappeared. Saïx could deal with this alone.
