Even as he was fading away, Axel wore a grim smile on his face. He might have been disappearing forever, but before he faded, all he could see was Sora’s face. His eyes, although they were not becoming blurry, were changing Sora’s figure to look like Roxas’s.
Axel didn’t want to be remembered as the Nobody who died for love -something that they couldn’t feel, so that was already ruled out. Sure, he thought he felt something for Roxas, but he would much rather fade away, knowing that Roxas was somewhere inside Sora, happy, alive. That Axel’s foolish final move wasn’t a complete waste.
In the corner of Sora’s blue eyes, Axel saw a small, almost unnoticeable tear. Axel smirked, and rested his head back, content.
Roxas was alive, somewhere in Sora. He could fade away without any regrets.

Xigbar was a pretty cool guy. He’d always give a grin to Demyx, no matter where he happened to see the blond - in training, in a world, anywhere.
When he’d heard that the blond had been sent off to a mission, he smirked, and waited for him to return. When Demyx came back, stuttering that Roxas had betrayed them, and Oh my god!, how were Marluxia, Larxene, and Vexen alive?! Xigbar gave a laugh, and handed the kid a soda. At the very least, it was something to calm the blonde’s nerves after seeing those ghosts.
So, when Demyx smiled, and headed out for another mission -one to Hollow Bastion - Xigbar simply planned to wait for Demyx, to wait for the blond to come back. He knew he’d come back - Demyx had promised him such.
Two days later, he knew something was wrong.
As he paced through the halls of the castle, half curious as to what had happen to the blond, Luxord walked by, and informed him that the keybearer had defeated Demyx, and that he and his sitar had vanished into Nothingness.
It wasn’t Demyx’s fault he lied - just the boy who had destroyed him.
After that, Xigbar didn’t smile much.

When in Castle Oblivion, she had haplessly toyed with the mind of the keybearer. He didn’t care -that was Marluxia’s plan, and he was ordered by Xemnas to follow through with it until he could take Marluxia down. He knew she was supposed to.
But he also knew that she knew that Roxas had been made from Sora. He knew that she didn’t know what would happen if she pushed him too much -what would happen? Would both Roxas and Sora crack simultaneous pressure, and cease to exist?
When she would pass by him, and give him a sneer, he simply smirked back, knowing that vengeance would be sweet. If the naive keybearer couldn’t deal with the bitch, he would just have to dismantle her himself.

The redhead raised his eyebrow, and without turning to face the blond, or setting down his book, he responded, “What Roxas?”
Roxas frowned, and shrugged. “Why can’t we feel?”
Axel groaned to himself, and continued reading. The blond had asked him this question at least ten times a week. “We have no hearts,” he answered, same as always. Turning to the next page, he shrugged. “Take it up with Xemnas, if you so desire.”
Frowning more, Roxas pushed Axel’s book away, and stared into his eyes. Axel raised his eyebrow again, and opened his mouth to ask him what was he doing - he’d just gotten to a good part - when Roxas forcefully pressed his lips against Axel’s.
A few moments later, Roxas pulled back, and tilted his head. “Nothing?”
Axel shrugged once again, and picked up his book. “No. I already told you -we can’t feel anything.”
Gritting his teeth, Roxas shook Axel’s shoulders. “But I know I do! I know I’m feeling something, no matter what you think!”
Axel rolled his eyes. “Great. I’m going to keep reading.”
After seeing the blond’s hurt expression, he half wanted to make up something, like how that kiss made him “feel like he had a heart,” or something cheesy like that. But truth be told, he just really didn’t care.
