Roxas was no child, but waiting for Axel to return from Castle Oblivion was torture.
As the reports of the other members dying off came in, he gripped the pages in his hands so tightly that they ripped into two. He knew Axel wasn’t weak - just because every other member died did not mean that Axel was gone.
Then the report came in that the Castle Oblivion plan had failed. Everyone had been defeated by the keybearer or the boy who wielded darkness. After that meeting was done, Roxas headed for his room, his face blank and his mind matching.
He passed by Axel’s room, and, without thinking, stepped inside. The walls were not decorated, like usual, and the bed wasn’t made. Everything the same as it had been before Axel had left. Before he had died…
“Miss me?”
Roxas jerked his head up; Axel stood in the doorway, smirking.
“I mean, you have your own room.”
Scowling at Axel, he moved away from the bed, and stood next to the redhead. “I thought everyone had been killed?” He asked, cautiously.
Axel’s smirk stayed put, and his eyes seemed to flash. “Yeah, everyone but me. Then again, Vexen and Zexion were killed thanks to me…” He shrugged, before moving passed the blond. Without turning around, he asked, “Did you think I could die?”
Roxas twitched, and rolled his eyes. “Shut up.”

Summary: Axel enjoys poking at Saïx's ideas about Kingdom Hearts.
Disclaimer: Kingdom Hearts and Organization XIII belong to Square Enix and Disney.
Axel normally didn’t stroll around The Castle That Never Was, so when he did, he obviously had a reason.
Even, Saïx thought, realizing that the redhead had just teleported into the room, to irritate him.
There was always the fact that he couldn’t be irritated, but that never stopped Axel. Just his presence made Saïx’s skin crawl. Axel was traitor material - he had too much devotion to a member who was already thinking about leaving, and he never did what he was told. Such a waste of a Nobody.
But Saïx would never harm him - doing so might lessen the chances of completing Kingdom Hearts.
One day, Axel appeared near him, grinning widely enough for Saïx to know that something was up.
“Kingdom Hearts…” Axel mused, shaking his head. “Ever realize what would happen if the stupid Keybearer realized what he was doing?”
Saïx froze; what would happen? Would they never become incomplete, due to the dependence they had on the boy?
“I mean,” Axel shrugged, and grabbed himself an apple from a bowl. “He is pretty idiotic, but… hey. I don’t mind not existing, but I happen to know that you and Xemnas would have a fit if Kingdom Hearts was never finished…”
The apple fell to the ground as Axel was thrown across the room. Saïx’s eyes flashed yellow, his claymore in hand as he stared at the redhead. Slowly climbing to his feet, Axel smirked. “I didn’t think you could get angry, Saïx.” He shook his head, before picking up the apple. “Watch it - that’s an emotion.”
Before Saïx could respond (not that he would; Axel was just prattling on about nothing), Axel walked away, leaving Saïx behind to not care.
