AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!! sorry, sorry, lost it. okay. YYYYYYYYYAAAAMOOOOPS! where are we, eli? what a bonkers world. If you need anything that is not money or a large fan, i could build it from cardboard and an ipod. I say you should do whatever you feel most like doing, and take frequent nap breaks.
Well, there's no tellin' if the letter was even meant for you since there's no pre-adopted name or signature or indication of any kind (hell, even putting the baby's blood type would narrow it down some). Could be they're not even your parents at all, but if they are that is cool [and since they are so nice and friendly and beautiful, it only makes sense that you are the way you are :-) ].
OH, UMLIZUMBUFF YOU IS ITALIAN!!! BE HAPPY OF COURSE!!!
Nah, really. I would feel intrigued. A new adventure is about to begin! Mayhaps you can look them up and send them a letter (omg, totally prehistoric...) and picture first. Ya know, write back and forth to catch up a bit before meeting them. I should really write to my biological father's family... I think they still live in New Orleans, but what with hurricanes and shit...
I agree with Alexis that writing to them (if they're still in the city) would be the best first step if you're curious. And as Mafo says, anything might have happened, but they may still be together and they may have talked about you on your eighteenth birthday . . . and wondered since then. Or they could do so separately. Or not. Really no telling. But they probably wonder.
And if they are still together, they may not have looked for Italian children. There might be a younger brother or sister who looks like you.
Anyway, all of this is just overthinking the possibilities. If you wonder, seek out knowledge in whatever way seems best to you.
