I think its more than time to drop the whole rating community thing. Maybe we could just ask people to post an application as a presentation, but not for rating, mostly for knowledge of each other. If there are things that people think have nothing to do with the community, we could just talk about it over the applications and work things out, people that have nothing to do here would probably notice it themselves, no need for a REJECTED stamp or stuff like that.

Also, people like you per example could post more of their ideas and related subjects or simply some new interesting stuff to share with others. You get the vibe?

I agree with this. Honestly I'm not sure when I joined this community but it has definitely been awhile. I know I was young, probably not even 18 yet and I'm 22 now. It was probably more of like a "hey I'll see if I can join this community and get approved and be a sexy straight edge kid." My ideals are far beyond that now and there's no sense in having a straight edge community that shuns others because of the music they like or the image they present. It should never be about that and I don't think this community ever really was like that in the first place.

start a new community
this one seems kind of bullshit. is stilledge available? ;)

admittedly i only did the app to find some edge kids on lj that were still posting

i think it would be a really good way to find out who is still around and not have any people in the community that wont post because they'd have to actively join it.
