Had my first fun filled workday in the new Berlin stop and shop. They put me on self-scanner which I now hate. Of all the people that come into the self-scan lane, 70% stand around dumbfounded for a minute till I point to the sign and say, "Self-Scanner". Then they yell at me for suggesting they scan their own stuff (the audacity!) and promptly

Then again, the New Britain one is right down the street from me and I'm working at Newington. It would be fun to work with you though :)
I'm told by my friends that work in the front-end that self-scanner is better than using an actual register because you don't have to be there ringing every item, but if you get customers who don't know how to do it, then it's just more of a hassle.
Plus, Berlin people are idiots.
