Yuko and I completed our move this weekend and are officially settled in the country.  The funny thing is that the room we live in in her house now is actually larger than the apartment we used to live in in the city.  Yuko's parents have this nice, old traditional Japanese house that would actually be on the large side even by American standards

Mazel tov on the license and the successful move (and the increase in space, for that matter). I got your message from the other day...I was really sorry to miss your call. I was watching Paul play rugby w/his mom and my phone was off. :( Was waiting to hear from you the next day, but I'm assuming you were tied up w/getting ready to move, so no worries. Drop me a line when you get a chance and we'll try to catch up that way...OR give me your cell # (w/the calling codes) and I'll call you from mine (hooray for prepaid w/int'l calling options!!) Also, send more pix of Yuko...she must be getting really big by now. Hope all is well, miss you and will talk to you soon.

Congrats on the baby boy to be- apparently my parents have been hanging out with yours, so I get this information. That's incredibly exciting and wonderful. He must be due any day now, huh? I wish I'd thought to ask Dad for tips on childbirth, but they're in Amsterdam right now and anyway I'm sure you've been studying ad nauseum. Good luck and much joy to you both- you'll make a great dad.

Thanks! Good to hear from you, Ali. What are you up to these days? Noah is due any day now, so I'm on constant baby watch. I've been meaning to post recently, but I'll get to that...when I do. Getting published be hard.
