I'm very sorry, I just couldn't resist.

Basically, if you weren't in Tron: Legacy and you were in this game? You died.
After finishing Evolution, I was doing a mental tally of the characters that died, and came to the exact same conclusion. What were they thinking? I mean, killing off Gibson was bad enough, but Anon too? I'm still kinda sore about it.

Hey, no worries!

Yeah, I'm still mad about them killing off Anon. I mean, it's a decent way to explain why he wasn't in Legacy--and I kind of wanted him to be in Legacy, not gonna lie--but did they really have to squish him with a Recognizer a minute from the credits? I can understand Gibson's death from a plotline perspective (he got to be a boss fight! and you have to kill your only friend! DRAMA!), but Anon's death just feels like a really cheap sucker-punch to the player, especially after, y'know, beating the game.

Some reward, eh? Defeat Abraxas, bring down Clu's Regulator, and then get squashed to bits. Really, this is not the kind of closure the game needs. Ah well, in my head, Anon survives and is just offscreen in Legacy, still fighting the good fight.
