Olsen, when you see this- has Uhu arrived with my package? I am slightly worried for the contents. Also, I would appreciate it if you slipped him an Owl Treat or two, he likes those ( Read more... )

...Warding, you say? Right, this is public. Damn it, gotta remember that. [Scratched out but still legible if you peer right]

A modification of some concealment charms and a binding charm might suffice- although this is only theory now, I have yet to actually test it. You would need three journals to do so, the sender, a receiver and an observer, to ensure that what is written remains private.

Of course, we always have owls. That, at least, is a tested system of passing messages. Unfortunately, until we are back at Durmstrang, it is likely that they will take a while to arrive at their destination.

I'm fine, it's sunny here in Denmark - my sister's in a good mood and the house is empty[hastily scratched out] QUIET. It's good. You?

That sounds pleasant enough.

I hate to admit this, but I am slightly at a lost for things to do. There is only so many times I can go over the curriculum for the next semester- attempting to work on these journals has proved an interesting distraction, though.

Ah, yes? If it would not be too much trouble.

I had thought that you and Tanwen were friends, but she has corrected me on that point- however, this won't take too long, as I've already got the proper charms set up.

That the journals can be warded?

Oh, I see- yes, they can. It appears that a modified Fidelius using the journal holder in the position of the secret keeper is applicable in this situation. I was a little surprised, I had not expected the charm to take so easily. Admittedly it is somewhat inelegant, but it appears to work well enough for the time being.
