I'm not, I just [ a few blots take up the rest of the line, and it's a while before Tobias continues ]
It's just a bit confusing right now. There was no fire on your end, at least? If there was, then I shudder to think what would have happened if these had been left unattended...
I think you may have scorched the bottom of my tea mug? Though my Uncles have been fixing tea in my absence, so the bottom could already have been blackened.
I think the scorches add character to these things.
flames; transference of- an attack at a distance? possible to target in specific rather than general / consider other curses (refer to Fidelius)

I- sorry, I had not meant any harm, either to your book or your mug. I hope the damage was not lasting. If you could perhaps try a scourgify on your mug to check if the stains can be removed? If they can, then that should tell whether the damage was my fault. In either case, I must apologise.
Don't apologize, it was a boring day! In fact, it broke up a bargaining squabble. Thank you! (Father is going to get full price for that dragon's liver now. Shopkeepers here are a little stingy)
Hang on a second. [the page darkens, cinnamon red-brown bleeding across the page]spilled my tea. Most of the scorching is still there?
They can't? I really hope it wasn't because of what I did, that'd be terrible- if there really was fire and these were left unattended, then there might be serious risk of hurting someone...
I'm not sure- in theory, at least, your journals shouldn't actually be burning. Can you still feel those pages? Mine have been reduced entirely to ashes.

Did you scorch every journal? What did you do?

I'm afraid I can't find a way to reverse the damage...

And were I otherwise inclined, I'm certain you'd prove me wrong.
