Need exercise help

Okay, so my family and I rejoined our gym so I can start getting some more exercise in. It's been a long time since I have worked out like this and I just have one question that I am hoping someone can answer. How do you know when you are pushing yourself too hard. Be sure to read over what Dr. A says about exercise in chapters 13-16 in your Habits of Health book. You don't need to push yourself hard to maintain, and that's what you should be learning to do--your weight loss is food-based, but your maintenance will depend on your expenditures, so getting into a good habit is great, but don't push too hard too soon.

And remember, as you incorporate exercise, you may be more hungry, so just add PROTEIN! :D

A little soreness and stiffness is normal when you haven't been active for a while, but being immobile is not good--you don't want to do any permanent damage, so err on the side of caution!
