The state of the house: A/C

I was hoping after blowing a considerable amount of cash on the A/C situation (IE New A/C NEW furnace) that after a night of cooling down, the house would be....well, cooler. The current temperature outside the house according to weather.com is 83 degrees. the current temperature inside the house is 83 degrees. Granted, the job was not done ( Read more... )

Hmm, I was hoping you knew someone in the business. Anybody who does energy audits, or any photographer with an infrared-capable digital camera, would be able to help you find the leaks.

check the filter. A dirty filter can cause that problem and its a cheaper fix than a repairman.

There shouldn't be a new dirty filter. new filters are clean by their very nature. Besides, being new, it is under warranty and therefore they can come out and replace said damn filter.

Also possibility, though not likely - check the lines into the house. When we got our new A/C there was something not correctly attached and the cool air froze up the pipes (yep, in July, go figure). Just make sure there isn't frost on something :3

Noticed condensation on the box holding the A coil, but I am thinking that is normal. will ask them about it though.
