The Twilight Saga

I have finally succumbed to my friends urging and read the Twilight series. Yes this was the same friend that dragged me to the midnight showing of the movie the first night it came out. I was very uncertain going into the books since a lot of talk in some of my favorite communities were not giving very... flattering reviews ( Read more... )

LOL. That's part of why I chose it. I love both Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. I haven't been reading much lately (not even fanfic) so Twilight was sort of a way to get me back into it.

I also have Carol Berg's Lighthouse Duet, The latest Nightrunner book by Lynn flewelling(god I love that series), the first book in the Branion series by Fiona Patton, and Sarah Monnette's Mélusine series. I hope these will keep me preoccupied while I save up to replace my broken E-Reader.

I also have to finish the last Harry Potter book before my mother and cousin disown me. *shuffles*

LOL. Me too. The problem is the copy I bought was on my electronic reader and I don't want to read it on my computer so I bought a traditional copy. I actually reread the first three right before it was released last year. I just got distracted with work. Someday I want to repurchase the whole set. I lost book 1, book 2 and 3 are somewhere in my house but very beat up and dog eared. So yeah. Someday I plan to just rebuy them and have them look nice and shiny on my shelf.

I'll let you know how the other books are. I've read Sarah Monette's A Companion to Wolves and it was amazing. I read through it in like, 2 days. I didn't even bother with sleep. lol. I'm hoping her other books will be just as good.

You already know that Jasper is my favorite. I love all of the Cullens. The vampires and especially the family dynamic fascinates me.

I also don't care too much for Bella. I find myself fixing her character as I read, and I think it's the edited Bella that I write in my fics. I haven't had many complaints on my fixes.

Sorry, I absolutely hate all of the wolves, though, especially Jacob. Just ignore any Jacob hate posts I might post on my journal, okay?

Oh, and I went to the Twilight movie to laugh at how bad it was. I fell instantly in love with it and read all of the books in the next week.

Hey, have you checked out what part of Midnight Sun is available? You should. The writing is even worse, scarily worse, but there's some good Alice stuff there.
