So I'm getting the Sims 2 University tomorrow.. but I have some questions

No, you either play your student in college, or the rest of the family at home.

The nice thing about Sims 2 is that you can install in any order, unlike Sims 1.

Also, you'd probably get better answers if you checked out thesims2 (but check the tags/search/memories before posting)

Yup, linear_flower basically answered your question. :) The university campus is like downtown, you will need to load it after you load the neighbourhood. You can only manage one family or one dorm at a time.

I installed Seasons before installing University, and I didn't have any problems, so yea, I'm sure you can install it in any order. :)
