Okay folks, for those of you still paying attention, there is someone out here. :) We have a horrible lack of actual posts and way too many spammers (especially the last few days) so I've set the comm to moderated to save all of our friends pages. Personally I never play Sims 1 any more (though I still have all the games and fondly recall game moments). I'm all for opening it up to all the versions.

Eek, I should have checked if there were other mods around. Sorry about that. The spam is getting a bit ridiculous around here, though, so it seems as good an idea as any for getting around that. :)

I've been playing Sims 3 on my PS3 and it makes me miss some aspects of
the original. Mostly that none of the professions have a night shift as I
found they worked best for having a happy, extremely socially active sim.
Cos they'd go straight to bed when they get home and when they wake up in
the afternoon, they've got all the time in the world to get ready for an
evening of fun before work.

I can't play the original (or #2) at the moment cos I don't have a PC
with Windows on it :(

So far I only have the first one though I haven't played it in awhile. Now that I have my laptop that might change, though. Can play the game on my computer and talk to friends on Yahoo or surf the net on the laptop. ^_^

I like the way Sims 3 is a lot like the original except with updated graphics and all the nifty extra stuff. Played it at a friend's house at one point and loved it. I couldn't get into Sims 2. Wasn't a big fan of the controls and such. Once I can upgrade my video card or get a better computer I want to get Sims 3.

I don't play Sims that often anymore at all, but I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the original Sims. I think having this comm open for all three games is a good idea, though.

Oh and I have to ask: Are you by any chance the Threnody who used to run a Sims 1 site called Threnody's Chic Boutique? Just curious... I loved that website and had a ton of the downloads from there in my game. :)
