Massive update under way!
One Nite Only!
Man what a great show. I left work and went straight to rehearsal so I smelled like windex and towel ass but thats okay because we got sweaty and gross anyways. Allie made me wear make-up, Drew covered for me though, I wiped most of it off and messed up my hair. After rehearsal I went to my spot at the door to greet people with Chatea, Catie, Chris, Leah, Nick and a few others. Some really cool alumni came like Steph, Hosey, Micah, and Ashley, I gave them huge hugs! Willay came with Katie and that really tall chick, Landon, Scott, Beth, Ryan, man a bunch of those crazy kids. There was so many people that we ran out of tables x.x so we had to take down a bunch more to accomodate them. I am so so so proud of everyone, especially Leah, Chatea, and Catie, each of them knows why, but other than that everyone did amazingly. I dont want to seem cocky but I'm happy with my performance, like this is one of the first times that I'm confident in saying that. My voice cracked on the last note of 'Amazing Mayzie' but I pushed through it and didn't stop singing, and thats not even the one I was worried about, "You can fly" I was almost sure I'd screw up on because I just started singing that song in my gut voice about 3 days ago, but I liked it, during rehearsal Hodak looked at me really surprised and looked at Ms. P like "did that come out of her?!". Catie's mom gave me flowers, shes such a sweetheart, I got really teary eyed, because she knew none of my family came to see my first solo, so that meant alot. Casey, Tim, Cory and them didn't show, which kinda makes me mad because some of them definitely said they were coming, then to find out later they all hung out saturday night anyways...? o.0 If they didn't want to come I would have understand, they should have said so before getting my hopes up. Whatever I'm over it.
Wedding!
Hahaha the text in the lj-cut was from my little 8 year old cousin, who after saying that proceeded to breakdance like a mad man for a solid 4 minutes. Overall it went alot better than I thought it would, this doesn't mean I agree with the meaning behind it, but the whole function went well. Got my first pedicure/ manicure this morning, against my will, mom made me do it. My aunt took pictures and I swear you would think they were torturing me, its great. Got my hair done, my mom said I look like pippi long stockings, but I really like it, its absolutely insane, sticking up in every direction, I wish I could wear it to school like this but it took even the hairdresser about 45 minutes. Oh and I now have bangs, by accident, hairdressers fault. My mom looked beautiful. She had major dress problems which caused the wedding to be delayed an hour, the zipper busted so we had to sew her inside of her dress. She and my aunts sat in that bathroom for so long, haha we made Blake come in and document. The actual "ceremony" thing was meh, the preacher lady kept messing up and missed a whole reading my mom picked out, we had to light unity candles and as she was making her "Love is like a candle that never burns out" speech, all of the candles blew out lol (it was outside on a deck). My mom started to cry at some stupid sappy moment and Casey and I started cracking up lol it was pretty bad. Food was awesome, I got to hang out with all of my insane cousins, though that wasn't even all of them. Walked out along the peirs for awhile, threw rocks on a hill (hey it was actually damn near entertaining!). Tried to keep Blake as much company as I could, I'm a bad host with that kind of stuff, like introducing people. He was all my mom could talk about on the drive home "Oh hes such a doll, tell him thank you a thousand times!" hopefully he had a decent time while fulfilling his photographer duties. The steel drum band was great! And my pop-pop is so wonderful, he played the wedding march on his keyboard in the calypso setting lol, I missed him, I'm more close with him than I am with any aunt or uncle. We finally got out of there around 8:30, my feet are killing me! This is why I don't wear anything besides sneakers. Since we got in late and I still have homework, mom said I could go in late.
But fish in de bowl is lucky, he in for a worser fate! One day when de boss gets hungry, guess whos gon' be on de plate! Unda' the sea!
