Content: Ichigo has now saved Watanuki's ass twice. Watanuki needs to repay some debt lest hitsuzen come crashing down on everyone's heads. This means BENTO.
Setting: The Way, Ichigo's cabin
Time: Uh. Sometimes shortly after the puppet attacks.

Clearly, Watanuki had been away from Yuuko's too long. It had been months since Lunasa and weeks since the puppet attack, and it had only occurred to him that morning (while making cream puffs) that he was still in Ichigo Kurosaki's debt for both. He had nearly dropped the tray in horror.
The rest of the day his karmic burden hung over his head like the looming presence of Yuuko. There were even times he swore he could hear a dim "Ho ho ho ho~" around corners. So, he resolved to alleviate this debt right now. He was done with being constantly indebted to people. He was getting this out of the way now, and then he could go back to ignoring the obnoxious pilot like usual.
So, he combined the fresh cream puffs with a lunch of rice, fish, and salad with ginger dressing (he wasn't going to make anything more than purely traditional for the bastard), arranged them with grudging artistry in a blue box wrapped in an embroidered cloth - you had to do these things right no matter the unpleasantness of the recipient - and took it to Ichigo's cabin himself.
He stood outside the cabin door and knocked twice, holding the box carefully. His face showed just how happy he was to be here, but he figured hitsuzen was going to have to be happy with this. He refused to be anything other than extremely displeased about it.
