It had to happen eventually. [closed]

Characters: Ariane, Justin, Ulquiorra (probably fairly briefly)
Content: Ari finally decides to burst Justin's bubble and stop pretending she doesn't know where he is.
Setting: Convoy Records Room, possibly Justin's cabin later
Time: sometime near the end of the festival
Warnings: Manipulation, blackmail, general unpleasantness. Possible badtouch with dubious consent and a large age difference. =|

Justin didn't have much work at all to do today. So he made some up: went over the old records and made sure all the loose pieces of paper were taped in, double-checked that last month's receipts added up to the correct numbers, made income and expenses graphs. He felt like he should be doing something if he was getting paid for it... Really, he felt like he should be doing something, period. That, and working made it easier to avoid going out and participating in the festival. It wasn't that he was afraid of crowds and strangers, not any more, but he still had a good reason not to be seen in public. Or he thought he did.

Not that he wanted to go out for more than a few afternoons, anyway. He preferred to stay on the ship, doing his work, reading, talking to the few crewmembers who for various reasons weren't much interested in the festival either.

Given the lack of urgent work, he had more time than usual when Ulquiorra came by to check on him, and spent it asking him questions. That he wasn't interested in going out much himself didn't mean he wasn't curious - though the subjects he was curious about weren't very in tune with the festival spirit.

"Is there need for much security presence? Would you say most of the problems are just people being rowdy, or have you seen anything more organized? I wonder how much the current political tensions are reflected in this kind of setting."
