With a smirk, Reno stretched his arms, loosening them up. He hadn't gotten a chance to use his EMR in a while, so this was a welcome opportunity.

"Yeah. No kicking his ass until we get information outta him."

Dimo, for his part, was thrilled to be one of the ones to be doing the interrogating this time, instead of being subject to interrogation like Doma. He knew how to do these things right.

"But just in case," the Jäger with a dangerous grin as he cracked his knuckles, "be ready to convince him to give us de information, too."

"Exactly," he said, his voice low. "I don't want him roughed up just yet, but...well, he don't have to know that, if you catch my drift."

They reached Low Key's quarters soon enough. Since there didn't seem to be any more particulars to straighten out, Mal rapped his knuckles against he door.

He had guessed they'd want to talk to him. Low Key was seated on the bunk, journal open, keeping abreast of the talk about the cargo on the network. He hadn't gone down to look himself, not wanting to run into those investigating, but he could guess what was going on from the journal posts.

When he heard the businesslike rap at his door, Low Key shut his journal and stood up, letting out a long breath. Like hell was he telling them the full truth about their cargo, so he'd have to feed them a convincing story.

It took less than two steps to reach the door. Pulling it open, he greeted his three interrogators with a resigned expression, ready to deal with this unpleasant business.

"I'd ask 'what seems to be the trouble,' but there's no point, is there, Captain? You and I both know you're here about the cargo. First of all, I'd like to say that this was not supposed to happen, and I apologize for any inconvenience or shock it might have caused your crew."
