Nahk was a maze of mines. The island was small, smaller than Kropmork by half. Tunnels riddled the entire landmass and yawning entrances dotted the surface.
As the would-be rescuers flew over the rocky, barren surface, most of those entrances would be dark. However, about a hundred yards from the coordinates they had been given for the epicenter of the power surge, one of the mineshaft entrances was lit up from the inside with a blue-white glow.
