Speaking from personal experience, corsets only hurt if (1) they're not fitted properly, which in my case meant I'd gained twenty pounds too much for the corset that fit me a year earlier, or (2) you're doing something that involves a degree of mobility that corsets were not designed to accommodate, like trying to drive a car. Standing, sitting straight in a chair, even riding a merry-go-round (side-saddle, I had hoops on too), fine. A corset that's fitted to you is fine. Restrictive, yes, and not suited for swimming or taking on a crew of pirates.... (Let's not even get into Victorian-era corsets, which are worse than the Elizabethan one I'm used to). But not actually painful.
Why, btw, do you want to be a True Brujah? What's wrong with Toreador, or Ventrue, or Lasombra, or one of the others, if one must be one of the living dead? (leaving obviously disadvantageous ones like Nosferatu and Malkavian out of the picture).
